Overview

We are seeking a trailbuilder with some experience in construction to further bolster our strong team.
Our ideal candidate will already be a skilled and diligent groundworker or trailbuilder. You will be working as a key part of the team to construct pump tracks and mountain bike trails across the UK. Employees can be expected to operate appropriate machinery as well as carry out physically demanding manual tasks in all weather conditions on remote and rural sites.

Starting Salary

£25,000+ based on experience with an opportunity to increase in the future.

Typical Hours

7.30am-5.30pm (these hours may need to be extended or shortened depending on current workload and daylight hours)

Duties

Skills

·  Work safely and securely in compliance with given information, organisational policies and procedures, and current health, safety and welfare legislation including following the procedures for working in contaminated ground.

·  Conform with productive working practices and completing the work in accordance with the programme of work

·  Interpret and follow verbal and written work instructions from supervisors and managers

·  Access, interpret and use drawings and specifications

·  Use and maintain power tools and equipment (including;. compactor plates, portable power tools, levels, lines, pins 
and laser equipment)

·  Select and use basic setting out equipment including tape measures, levels, straight edges and laser and RTK GPS equipment under guidance of the supervisor

·  Install and test basic drainage and ducting

·  Shape, compact and tes ride pump tracks and mountain bike trail

·  Transport, place, and compact track pavement

·  Create formwork and pour, vibrate and finish concrete

·  Set out and lay edging/kerbs to paths

·  Install gully grates and frames including preparatory brickwork

·  Locate and excavate to expose buried utility services using electronic location instruments

·  Form and reinstate excavations and surfaces to sub-bases

·  Prepare to, then direct and guide the movement of vehicles, plant or machinery

·  Shape and compact asphalt pump tracks 

·  Landscape and turf to a high standard 

·  mask and apply red paint to asphalt pump tracks

·  Ability to work outdoors for long periods in all weather conditions

·  A keen eye for trail shaping and finishing
